This Coral Sun Actinic 420 nm Tube Lamp by Zoo Med, is a high performance Aquatic Lighting Lamp, for use with a range of Aquariums which demand Actinic radiation and Ultra-Violet exposure.

These Coral Sun Actinic Tube Lights come in a variety of sizes, and specialise in providing especially strong illumination in the shorter wavelength areas of the spectrum, all the way up to 420nm.

Like all Actinic lights, the Coral Sun Actinic range by Zoo Med are used to illuminate aquariums, and to consequently promote plant and coral growth. Actinic lights emit a bright blue light.

It promotes growth of zooxanthellae algae, essential for the growth and well being of all photosynthetic corals and invertebrates. This bulb simulates the short wavelength blue light which penetrates to reef depth in nature. Output closely matches the absorption peak of chlorophyll used in photosynthesis.

Ideal for all marine aquariums or reef tanks.
