The Fiji Parrot Bird Cage is suitable for parakeets, small conures, lovebirds, cockatiels, budgerigars, canaries and finches. The cage has bar spacing of 1cm. The cage is built to designs based on extensive knowledge of bird and animal requirements.

• Q. Does the top cage come off the stand easily - ie can the cage be taken off the stand for travel say?

  Yes the top cage can be removed easily. Simply unscrew to remove. So the cage than then be taken around for travel by itself.

  The Fiji By Montana does have an opening top for the parrot to climb out of, this is stabilized by a supporting perch.

• Q. Hi, Re the Fiji, I know that it states that this cage is big enough for a cockatiel, would there be plenty of room for it or would a larger cage be more suitable. Also can I put paper in the bottom of the cage and then sand on top. I l also believe that the top opens, do you have addtitional perches to fit this cage, both inside and on the opening part of the top. Many thanks. Linda

  The cage is a good size for a cockatiel, what I would say is normally best practice dictates that the bird should have as much soom as space in the house and money allows. Saying this, the cage is a good size. There is a perch for the opening top section supplied with the cage.

  You can place sand and paper on the bottom of the cage, there is a tray fitted but this can be removed and then the bird can access the bottom of the cage.

  The only additional perches we sell are Java perches.

• Q. Thank you for your prompt reply. Is there an additional perch for inside the cage as well as for the opening top section. The java perch - is it long enough to be able to go into the cage as an additional perch to ones already supplied. The cage would be for 1 cockatiel. I just wanted to make sure it would be big enough for 1.

  Thanks for your question. Sorry, no. Only antique and stone. Montana stopped producing the green finish a few years back. Hope this is ok. I don't think we have any cages in green.

  No. The cage does not come with any conversion parts to make a chinchilla cage, however, the mini san remo or mini san diego do have conversion kits for animal use.

  I have just had it measured, and it is around 4mm thick, which is one of the strongest cages we do.
