The Happy House Chinchilla and Bird Cage Liberta is a large, spacious cage that would provide an ideal living space for your chinchilla or for a family of rats and other small animals. This cage is made from hard wearing, white powder coated wrought iron which offers fantastic strength and gives you a great view of your animals as they play.

This happy house cage is also suitable as a bird cage for Budgies and parakeets as it includes perches and convenient feeder bowls. This cage comes with a pull out plastic tray and wire tray for easy cleaning, and the two extra platforms and ladders allow your pets to get around the cage effortlessly.

The Happy House Chinchilla and Bird Cage Liberta includes a hammock for your pets to relax and sleep in, and provides extra shading from the sun. The cage is supported upon a removable stand, which has four castors for mobility, and features a storage shelf for keeping spare food and bedding materials for your pet.

• Q. hi. i was hoping the shelves were going to be solid. tho i have searched other sites for suitable cages for my degu but yours are the only ones i have found. the liberta looks great and i am sure i can adapt the shelves somehow as i prefer solid shelves for degus to walk on. i certainly will be ordering one of these shortly.

  I know this one is the best we have that would be suitable for yours. I agree the best thing would be looking into plastic sheets that can be attached over the shelves to give a flat surface.

• Q. hi. how easy is the cage to assemble?

  This is a fairly straight forward cage to build. All is required is to place the 4 sides together and attach together at four screw points. You would then need to construct and attach the base and add in the accessories.

  The platforms are not solid on this cage, but they can be covered with a sheet of plastic or a similar material to make them solid, or replaced all together.

• Q. I have seen this cage on amazon, and I am very interested in buying it. However, the amazon review says that the bottom sliding floor is not quite as big as the cage, and thus lots of food falls out. It also says there are alot of small doors which little critters can learn to escape through. Could you respond to these comments so I can buy with confidence? Thank you!

  Yes it is slightly smaller as it has to fit inside the bottom of the cage, but the tray is angled to catch a majority of the mess. I couldn't say I've heard of any cases where the critters have escaped though!
