Prozyme is a probiotic feed additive. Probiotics are naturally occurring cultures of specific strains of beneficial bacteria.

  Suggested daily intake:
  Cats/Dogs 5gm (1 tsp) per 5Kg (10lbs) bodyweight.
  Small Pets/Cagebirds = 2gm per day.
  Give for 5-7 days or as necessary.

• Q. I have been searching for a reason why my 2 young dogs keep eating other dogs faeces , an enzymatic supplement like prozyme has been suggested, can you tell me if this is appropriate or what alternatives there are.

  To be honest I am not sure that anyone really knows what causes this problem in some dogs.

  Opinion seems to suggest that either the dogs are missing something from their diet, or not making proper use of what they are being fed.

  My suggestions would be either a probiotic such as Prozyme and/or a vitamin & mineral supplement such as Canine Propell or Vitamin 2000 or Revite.

• Q. Hi, i have recently purchased a 100gr tub of this product. The directions for use state 1tsp per 5kg of weight. I have a springer spaniel who weighs about 21/22kg so this would equate to 4tsp per day? This seems an awful lot of powder when you dish it out and I wanted to make sure this is correct? Also it says to feed for 5-7 days. How long a gap should you leave till the next dosage and can it harm her by pro-longed usage? Thanks

  Prozyme can be fed long term. directions on label are for short term or long term use. I would try your dog on half the recommended dosage and see how it goes, recommended dosages are only approximate and can be adjusted as required.
