To construct the Ruff Wear Palisades Dog Pack, Ruff Wear used their brilliantly designed Web Master Harness and added a rugged, multi-featured, detatchable saddle bag system for the ultimate backcountry pack.

Built for use in rugged conditions on multi-day backpacking trips when extra carrying capacity is needed, this Ruff Wear Palisades Dog Pack comes with integrated water bladders keep your dog hydrated in dry conditions. Some dogs hesitate to drink water in a new environment because it tastes different. Even if they love the taste of the water from that river, lake, pond, or puddle, the potential exists for that water to be contaminated. Each of the two bladders holds one litre of water so you can ensure your dog will have a trusted source of water while they trek.

Its recommended that your dog carry no more than 25 - 30% of their body weight in their dog pack. If your dog is new to dog packs, start with a light load and work up to a heavier load as your dog gets accustomed to wearing the pack.
